I am blessed beyond words!

If you guys saw my last update, well from what I thought was an impossible situation. God has turned it around!

I am now able to travel to Kenya, oversee the drilling process and hold the crusade! This all happened so quickly I could hardly believe it was happening! So this morning, I had to take some special time to write this post to all people who have invested their prayers donated their money to this project and write, IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.
We have the drilling company ready to drill, they are in the next town called TIMAU, (well it is more like a village center) drilling there. And before they head back to Nairobi ( capital of Kenya, this is a city). They will be drilling at our site! So praise God for this breakthrough! And the fact that I will be there and return back to tell of the good news!

Dear Friends: Update on water well

Dear friends,

I would like to thank you for your genrous contribution to operationfreshwater. For the vision of drilling a water well for the people of Bulgrate in Nanyuki Kenya.

Here is the most recent update on the water well!

1. water well:

We plan to drill this August, Yay! Praise God! It has been a long journey since 2008, and we have learned a lot. I want to thank you so much for your patience and continued support in donations and prayers. A special thank you from my heart to all the people that took a moment to pray for Kenya, and this specific vision. God has been faithful and opened the doors for this to happen. No matter how difficult it was to get the necessary paper work in Kenya to drill for a water well, God has been faithful. I know some of you are aware of the various setbacks we came accross with the corruption in the country. Once again thank you for your patience.

What's remaining:

1.Actual drilling, this is scheduled to happen this coming month, August. We are working with a company in Nanyuki called insta-pumps (http://www.insta-pumps.com). We are looking getting a time slot where by they can come out and do the actual drilling.

2. Installing a water pump: At this point we will not be installing an electric pump, even though we can pull electricity from a distance to the location. But this would run us into extra cost and a lot of corruption. So at this point, I have decided to wait on that. We are going to install a manual pump, it will be harder to pump water from a 150 meters ( 300 yards down) down with this gadget but it will have to do for now.  However people will have water and a consistent source of drinking and irrigation water that wasn't there before.

(A lot of people have asked me, what will it look like, and if I could draw on this, i could but i am just going to describe it. It will be 300 yards straight down, at a width of about 3 feet wide through rocks and whatever kind of materia that will be in the way to reach the water rocks. The water survery confrimed the presence of water at this level and the probability of an underground river, flowing from Mt, Kenya which is very close to this village. So pray! because if we hit the underground river, the life of the water well will go up from the usual 20 yrs before it needs to be re-dug or moving on and digging at another location. So the underground river will be more of a longer life span for the water well).

Crusade:

1. I am cordinating with a local pastor of the Foursquare Gospel in Narumoro to hold an open air crusade at the location of drilling, to let the people of the village know about Jesus. Who is the reason we are drilling for water. Prayer need for this area, would be just that people would 1. come to know Jesus Christ as their savior and 2. That their would be a sence of community ownership of this blessing. I would like the people to own it, and love it, to realize that it is a blessing that they need to take care of.

My trip:

Last night I realized that, I am not going to make it to Kenya if all the money doesn't come through soon. I have raised $500, and will need $2500 to cover for expenses for this trip even the crusade. But with the amount of time remaining, I am realizing that this might not be a possibility this time around. Even though I would love to with all my heart!

Contigency plan:  I have been working with two contacts in Nanyuki and a town called Sagana Kenya, concerning this whole water well project. These two guys have been phenominal and have done quite a lot of work without any re-imbursment. I would like to give them some money for all their good work! So if I do make it there then I can bring them something from the U.S.A and take them out to get something to eat. ( This goes a long way in Kenya, and people love even little things from U.S.A). But If I don't make it then i am going to send the $500 I have for both of them. Then all they would have to do is make sure that we get the pictures and video so that you people who donated money can see where your money went.
